Everyone and pretty much everything is safe and dry. With predictions getting ever more optimistic, at this point it looks like it will all be wasted effort, but never mind! We will sit it out for a few days and see what happens and make plans from there.

Good, good. I've been thinking of you and happy to hear that the predictions aren't as bad as initially feared.
The pictures they're showing in the US of Toowoomba (and the term they're using, apparently "flash flood" doesn't incite enough fear, so let's call it a tsunami!) are pretty sobering.
